4th Floor to Mildness is an immersive audio-visual installation that guides audiences through stunning aquatic realms.

Our team worked closely with Atelier Rist and Portland Art Museum to fabricate, source, and install the custom curtains, beds, cushions, bedding covers, and sound baffling panels that fill the sprawling exhibition. Beginning just outside the exhibition, colorful drapes guide audiences into the space where they transform and flow from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, rippling seamlessly into its water-like environment. Collaborating with our sister company, Oregon Natural Fiber Mill, we filled the exhibition with raft-like beds, cushions, and made durable long long-lasting covers for them. We also produced hidden panels that help soften the ambient sound coming from outside the exhibition to maximize the listening experience. The fabricated elements were the magic touch, offering visitors a soft, inviting place to sink in and float comfortably through the dreamlike experience.
