Just a year ago last week Barack and Michelle Obama, POTUS and FLOTUS of the United States received the first tie and scarf, kicking off a year of celebrating three things Portland does best: transit development, sustainable manufacturing, and of course, style.
The most recent recipient of a tie was none other than Paul McCartney, shown here with Mayor Charlie Hales and PETA Vice President Dan Matthews, naming Portland the most vegan-friendly US city of 2016.
