PGF FAQ

+ What is portland Garment Factory?

Portland Garment Factory (PGF) is a full-service design, patternmaking, prototyping and production facility for soft goods and garments located in Portland, Oregon.

+ What Does PGF Make?

When it comes to soft goods, if you can dream it, we can do it. Some examples of past projects include: custom aprons and uniforms, designer bridal gowns, tyvek laundry bags, soft sculptures, custom leather duffel bags, photo panels, retail installations, and much, much more.

+ Is there anything PGF can't do?

While the sky is usually the limit, here are some things we’re not currently equipped to make:

  • Lace lingerie and intimates
  • Bras with underwire and/or special seaming
  • Swimwear
  • Children's sleepwear
  • Seam-sealed outerwear
  • One-off custom designed prom/event/wedding dresses

+ What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

Since every project is unique, we don’t have a minimum quantity. We can scale up to 20,000 units or as few as 20. If you’re unsure of how many you’ll want to produce, we’ll work with you to find the right quantity and price based on the factory’s efficiency sweet spot.

+ What is your turnaround time (turn-time)?

What’s your turnaround time? We specialize in rush jobs and can generally accommodate your timeline. For less time-sensitive and larger scale projects we typically keep our team booked out 4-6 weeks.

+ Can I tour the factory? Are you open to the public?

Although we're not open to the public on a daily basis, we love giving tours to educational groups. If you’d like to schedule a visit for your school please contact hello@portlandgarmentfactory.com to set up a time.

+ Do you have extra fabric scraps?

PGF recycles 100% of its fabric scraps and you’re welcome to have some before we recycle them. For more information about scrap availability, please contact stephanie@portlandgarmentfactory.com We also periodically hold fabric sales to clear out backstock fabrics. Please join our newsletter and follow our Instagram to receive information about these events.
